Situated in a peaceful location between Gatehouse of Fleet and Lauriston within the UNESCO Galloway Biosphere. Ramerish Retreat is a 5-star Scottish Cottages Graded Luxury Holiday Home.

Luxury newly built Holiday Cottage sleeping up to 6. Put your feet up and relax in front of a cosy wood burner with friends or family.

We are situated 2.5 miles from our nearest village, Laurieston, and 7 miles from our nearest town, Gatehouse of Fleet. The latter has all amenities in it, as does Castle Douglas situated 9 miles from here.

Enjoy the peace and quiet of the lovely enclosed garden, or relax in the garden room for a spot of bird watching or star gazing. Perhaps visit renowned gardens and ancient woodland with a chance to see the abundant wildlife of the Biosphere reserve. ‍

Biking, Walking, Water Sports and Red Kites

The cottage is a perfect base for many activities. Including, walking in the Galloway Hills, mountain biking at one of the 7Stanes Trail centres, water sports a Loch Ken or watching Red Kites at the feeding station, and on your return, the garden room also has a wash area for bikes and dogs.
